Since the DMR repeater site change in Bow (NH), we have been curious to hear how coverage to the NW might have changed. Today, Doug, N1OEI, drove from Concord to Lebanon. Coverage seems to be the same for a 30 watt mobile. He last reported in after the Grantham Exit 13. His signal was intermittent as he went down hill by the Whaleback Ski Resort in Enfield (roughly Exit 14-15). So coverage is much the same from Bow, thanks to the WRKC Group.
Lebanon valley continues to be a transition area between Bow (VHF) and Mt. Ascutney (UHF). In the future, we hope to have a filler repeater for the Connecticut River Valley to cover Lebanon, Hanover and White River Jct.
Meanwhile, Interstate 93 coverage will be enhanced in the Franklin/Northfield/Tilton area, courtesy of the Central NH ARC. Their current Franklin site will receive a DMR repeater on their NESMC coordinated frequency of 145.46, -600 KHz, CC1. This site should also have mobile coverage to Ashland, Newfound Lake, and Grafton. The Merrimack Valley ARA AREDN Mesh link will connect Franklin to the NEDECN c-Bridge. All talk groups will be the same as those at Gunstock Mtn.
An announcement will be made when construction is finished. Target is by Oct. 30.
Thanks to all team members for working on these projects!
